Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic insists if his side can find 30 percent more improvement nobody can stop them.
Manchester United has had a season that can only be described as a tale of two halves.
The first half of the season saw a side struggling for any kind of consistency and calls for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to get his marching orders.
However, the club persevered with the 1999 Treble winning legend, and since the turn of the year and the inspired signing of Bruno Fernandes, United have looked a whole different team.
One player who has benefited from the Norwegian’s management style is Nemanja Matic. Thought to be out of the door back in January, he has just signed a new contract until 2023.
The Serbian international insists the club has turned the corner and are now closer than ever to being back at the top.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he knows that success is withing touching distance.
“I think we are improving every day, game by game, step by step.”
“I have to say that there is a big difference between the beginning of the season and now – in a positive way, of course.”
“If we add 30 percent more on top of that, we will be ready to compete for the Premier League title. Soon, I think we will be ready to compete with anyone.”
