Despite strong interest from Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund say Jadon Sancho will definitely remain at the club next season.

In what could be a big blow for Manchester United, Jadon Sancho is now expected to stay put at Borussia Dortmund.

For the past few months, the English forward has been the priority target for the Red Devils. Reports always stated that the 20-year-old ‘wanted’ to join United but it would all depend on Borussia Dortmund.

The German side have so far insisted on their €120m valuation of Sancho with the Red Devils not willing to match that.

Just at the start of the month, reports from Germany claimed Dortmund had put an August 10th date as the deadline for United to meet their asking price. This is because the club intended to sort all transfer dealings before they traveled for their pre-season dealings.

The deadline seemed liked a bluff but it appears those reports were right all along. Sancho was pictured travelling with Dortmund to Switzerland this morning. The latest comments from club director is the final blow to United’s transfer plans.

“We plan on having Jadon Sancho in our team this season, the decision is final,” Zorc said via the club’s social media channel when asked about the winger.

“I think that answers all our questions.”

“Last summer we adjusted Jadon’s salary to match the development of his performances. So in context, we had already extended his contract until 2023 back then.”

A huge blow for United who have spent the past few months pressing hard to sign Sancho. Back to the drawing board in their attempts to bolster their forward options.
