Manchester United are reportedly in advanced talks over completing the transfer of Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils have tracked the English sensation for months and it appears they might have their breakthrough already.
Multiple reports have claimed Sancho fancied the idea of moving to Old Trafford from the onset. However, a difference in transfer valuation between both clubs was proving to be an issue.
Borrusia Dortmund wanted €120m or nothing for their prized asset and United were not willing to cough out that much for one player.
But clubs could have come to an agreement that suits both parties. After weeks and weeks of negotiation, United are now ready to meet Dortmund’s terms for Sancho.
As per Fabrizio Romano for The Guardian, the Red Devils will pay an initial €100m with the remaining €20m to be paid in installments potentially due in performance-related add-ons.
Sancho is now expected to join Manchester United on a five-year deal. The potential fee for his signing would mean the 20-year-old would become the most expensive English signing, a record which United also set with Harry Magurie when they signed him for €89m last season.
As per the report, the youngster’s choice to join the Red Devils took a stronger turn when Champions League football was secured by the club.
