Manchester United should try to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham if they beat Spurs to Champions League qualification this season.
Kane has not featured for Tottenham since New Year’s day and his absence has affected Spurs form of recent.
While United saw the arrival of Bruno Fernandes, his presence has brought the opposite in good fortunes.
Manchester United currently lie in fifth place which would be good enough to qualify for the Champions League if City’s ban remains valid.
The Red Devils were in the hunt for a striker in January and could only get Odion Ighalo on a six-month loan deal.
And now Robbie Savage thinks United should do the audacious and move for Kane if Spurs don’t make the top five.
Savage said on BBC Radio 5 Live via Express: “If Spurs don’t get Champions League football and don’t win a trophy this season”
“I’m just putting it out there, if Manchester United thought ‘Do you know what? Let’s have a go for Harry Kane’, is that beyond the realms of a ridiculous statement from me?”
Truly, the absence of Champions League football could convince the England captain to make a move but his fee is expected to be outrageous and could be a stumbling block.
