Jack Grealish should be more of a priority to Manchester United than James Maddison, according to former United man Jonathan Greening.
Jack Grealish will benefit Manchester United more, compared to Leicester City’s James Maddison.
The Red Devils have been strongly linked with both players, alongside Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho in what is expected to be a busy summer for the club.
Jadon Sancho might be the principal target for the club but if they need another midfielder, Jack Grealish should be getting the nod.
Former United man Jonathan Greening believes the arrival of Bruno Fernandes means Grealish will offer more in quality to the club as the Portuguese is much similar in style to Maddison.
“Over the past few months there’s been talk of Grealish coming or Maddison coming,” Greening told Metro.
“I actually feel I would prefer Jack Grealish. Maddison is a very good player, super technical, he can create, great passing both short and long, and great on set plays.”
“Maddison is also maybe a bit too similar to Fernandes, whereas Jack Grealish will bring in something different, he can find pockets of space, he can drive at opponents and take on 2-3 players in one movement.”
“He’d be a better player at United with the current squad than Maddison would be for me.”
