The La Liga rivals are looking to swiftly move for Denis Suarez who clearly has no future at Barcelona following a disastrous spell in England for Arsenal

Denis Suarez had a rather forgettable experience in English football. After securing a move to Arsenal during the January transfer window, the young Spaniard was unable to get the desired minutes on the pitch. Failure to adapt to the English game and injuries didn’t help the former Seville man’s cause either.

Now that the player has returned to Barcelona, it appears that he is unlikely to unpack his suitcase.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Valencia have already started discussing the option of signing the Galician. Mateu Alemany, Valencia’s director general, has already started speaking with Oscar Grau of Barcelona. Los Che manager, Marcelino is a great fan and could help Suarez resurrect his career.

Celta Viga have also asked about Suarez’s ability. It is believed that a fee in the region of €30 million would be enough to convince Barcelona into selling. However, both teams are not willing to pay more that €20 million which could jeopardize the deal.

The Catalonians are already looking to offload a few players in order to conclude deals for long-term targets such as Matthijs De Ligt and Antoine Griezmann. Coutinho, whose time at Camp Nou has been forgettable to say the least, is one of the players who could be sacrificed. The same goes for the likes of Ousmanne Dembele, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Jasper Cillisen.

However, the fact that Barcelona are playing hardball with potential suitors means that it might take some time to get such deals done.

Regardless, Suarez is looking for a way out of the club and in order to return to form, the youngster needs to be at a club where he is guaranteed sufficient playing time.
