Valencia manager Marcelino Garcia Toral has paid tribute to Santi Mina and Dani Parejo after their accomplishments during the club’s 2-1 win against Real Sociedad

In a very difficult game, where Sociedad appeared to have been the stronger of the two sides for the majority of the match, it was Valencia who emerged as victors after two goals from Mina secured his side the three points.

Toral was full of praise for the 22 year-old forward and believes that Mina is already a good role model for the younger generation to follow with his positive attitude. The Spaniard has now scored 14 goals in 29 appearances for Valencia in all competitions this season.

“He’s a boy who has worked hard since pre-season, taking advantage of every minute on the field, always with a positive attitude. He keeps growing and he’s seeing the fruits of his labour. He’s a good role model.” said Toral, as stated on en.valenciacf.com

Toral also paid tribute to central midfielder Parejo who made his 200th appearance for the club. The 28 year-old has had an impressive season for Valencia and Toral believes Parejo would be a valuable asset for Spanish national team in the upcoming World Cup in Russia.

“He’s an extraordinary player, who Valencia CF are lucky to have. I congratulate him for the 200 league games, and since July when I’ve been with him, I can only praise his football and his attitude. If he were on the market Dani would cost many, many millions of euros. Is he ready for the Spanish national team? Of course, but that’s for Julen (Lopetegui). Let’s hope he can go to the World Cup.” said Toral.
