The Los Che’s chief believes that Pogba is not as good as Kondogbia.
Manchester United’s midfielder Paul Pogba has been labelled not as good as Geoffrey Kondogbia by Valencia’s boss Marcelino.
The Frenchman’s performances have been quite indifferent lately, especially in his team’s 1-2 defeat to Sevilla in the Champions League second leg of the last 16-tie.
The former Bianconeri player arrived at Old Trafford as one of the most expensive footballers in history, but has so far failed to make an impression and show what he is truly capable of.
Meanwhile, Kondogbia has had a terrific spell for Los Che and was instrumental in the club’s 2-0 victory over Sevilla last weekend.
“Kondogbia didn’t only play brilliantly against Sevilla, but he has had a lot of excellent games throughout the entire season,” Marcelino said, according to Goal.
“He is a key player for us, he is important for how we play and although I don’t follow how the other French midfielders are getting on, recently I don’t think that some of them would be close to how Kondogbia is playing.
“We saw Pogba play against Sevilla and Kondogbia against the same opponent and there isn’t any kind of comparison to be made.
“As always, however, I have total respect for the national team managers and as Valencia boss I am happy that he is here with us.”
