Valencia head coach Marcelino Garcia Toral has denied claims that he had a talk with Real Betis striker Sergio Leon.

Garcia branded the speculation as ‘lies’ despite the fact that Valencia are on the look out to boost their attacking options.

“Whoever claims that I have spoken with Sergio Leon is lying,” Marcelino told reporters and cited by Football Espana.

Valencia attacking midfielder Michy Batshuayi’s season-long loan deal from Chelsea will come to an end soon and it’s unclear whether the club will renew his contract as they keep suffering from a lack of goals.
