Antonio Valencia feels Paul Pogba deserves better treatment from the fans and has disregarded his transfer to Real Madrid.

Paul Pogba has missed a majority of this season due to health issues. The Frenchman came off the pitch following a knee injury in October and has not returned since.

As per rumors, Real Madrid are closely following the Manchester United midfielder. Zinedine Zidane is believed to be a big fan of the 25-year old and looks to bring him to the Bernabeu this January.

But former Manchester United full-back Antonio Valencia believes Real Madrid does not interest Pogba. The 34-year old demanded more support for him from the fans.

“Pogba is a star. Do you know what he needs? Love,” the former Man Utd captain told Mundo Deportivo.

“I have heard many rumors about [Zinedine] Zidane and Real Madrid, but he never said anything.

“He is a clever person. If at United we give this affection, Pogba will shine.

The Ecuador international also praised Man Utd on their performance against Man City. Valencia suggested that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side was getting better and singled out Rashford and De Gea for their display.

“It’s difficult to manage such a unique case,” Valencia said.

“I see United getting better and better, Rashford is going through a great time.

“They are a solid team behind [in defense], with confidence and a star in De Gea.”
