Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is reportedly a summer transfer target for Valencia, according to reports from Spain.
Kepa became the world’s most expensive goalkeeper when he joined Chelsea from Athletic Bilbao in 2018.
Despite a somewhat decent first season at the club, the goalkeeper has failed to justify why the Blues were willing to cough out that much for his services.
This season, Kepa has seen a difficult time in goal for Chelsea. The 25-year-old was dropped for five games at a point and replaced with Willy Caballero.
Despite Lampard saying it was only for technical reasons, many outlets have claimed the Blues could be open to selling the goalkeeper in the summer.
Spanish outlet SPORT claims that Valencia side are interested in buying Kepa this upcoming transfer window.
Valencia goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen looks set to leave the Mestalla this summer, and the Spaniard is being eyed up as a potential replacement.
Speaking earlier this month, Kepa insisted he wants to stay at Chelsea despite interest from elsewhere.
He declared that he still has the full support of Lampard regardless of their rumoured bust-up.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea would entertain any offers for Kepa. Asides the Spaniard, Willy Caballero remains the only other senior goalkeeper at the club and his departure would leave the Blues lacking in that position once again.
