For the Barcelona boss, the club showed character to claim a 3-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano this week, extending their lead in the Spanish La Liga

Barcelona continues to be at the top of the Spanish La Liga tournament after they beat Rayo Vallecano 3-2 this weekend.

And for its manager, Ernesto Valverde, it’s all thanks to the team’s attitude towards the game.

“I was happy with the victory. Our attitude was always the same, to go for it, and that’s what gave us the win,” Valverde was quoted by The Daily Mail.

Eto’o praises Iniesta as the best he’s played with alongside Messi

Samuel Eto'o is a Barcelona legend who spent five years in Catalonia, becoming the fan-favorite by constantly scoring in the process. Eto'o is very outspoken...

“We started well, but then we lacked depth. We had many problems with our opponents and once they scored, they grew in confidence.”

“In the end we had to go for it, trying to find finishes from within the area, and if that couldn’t be achieved, trying another way. The important thing is the character of this team,” he added.

“We expect a lot from him. Dembele can be decisive and today he helped us with a great goal that allowed us to get the next.”
