Donny Van de Beek likes the interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United but has insisted he is staying at Ajax for now.

The 22-year-old Ajax midfielder has been a long-time target for Real Madrid and more recently Manchester United.

Real see him as a cheaper option to Paul Pogba. While United sees him as a compliment and maybe even an eventual replacement to the Frenchman.

Both clubs would like to add the Dutch international to their squads immediately. A fee of around 60 million Euros has been mentioned.

However, speaking to Fox Sports Netherlands Van de Beek appears committed to the Dutch giants.

He has been away at warm-weather training with Ajax, and his words after a recent friendly game will be well-received in Amsterdam.

It appears he is not easily swayed or motivated by financial gain. He likes the idea of the interest of Europes Elite but is in no hurry to leave now or even in the future.

He said:

“It is not that I can or want to do something at the moment.”

“These reports about Real Madrid or Man United are a good sign.”

“But it is not important now. I’ve said I will stay at Ajax and I will do so for 100 percent.”

“I have said it before, and I will say it again: I will remain at Ajax this season. And maybe next season as well.”
