The Liverpool footballer was one of the key players that helped the Reds lift the UEFA Champions League trophy against Tottenham Hotspur.
When you win the UEFA Champions League, what else is there left to win at club level?
Well for Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, there is still a lot to do, especially after being only one point away from first-position, and Premier League champions, Manchester City.
“I think the future looks pretty bright,” said the Liverpool center-back to the team’s official website.
“We have a fantastic team with players that want to develop, that want to give everything for the team and for the club.”
“[There is] so much quality in the team; sometimes you don’t even realize how good of [a group of] players we have – and also on the bench that wants to play and be part of the team,” he added.
“So we have a fantastic future coming up.”
He explained: “I have been consistent. I’ve been feeling great, with the help – obviously – of all my teammates. But everyone has been fantastic.”
“If you look around the team, Robbo has had his best season ever. Trent has been amazing for such a young guy, so mature.”
“And all the center-backs. And obviously, the rest of the team have been performing at such a high level,” the player concluded.
