Varane admits collective problems in Real Madrid

Raphael Varane admits Real Madrid are battling with a collective issue following their shock 3-0 defeat to Eibar on Saturday.

“Eibar were direct and made it complicated for us,” the French defender disclosed to Football Espana after his side conceded their 19th goal in La Liga.

“When we lose individual duels, it costs us. We couldn’t respond to their high pressure and second balls.

“We have the quality to play football, but we’re not in a good way collectively. We lost the direct battle and couldn’t find solutions.

After what we are currently looking from the biggest Spanish clubs in the world, we can say that La Liga is in a state...

“We tried to play our football but couldn’t. It’s a collective problem, so we must be united and keep working like always.

“Conceding 19 goals in La Liga is a collective problem. All of us must improve in this aspect so we can win more games. We’re aware of the situation.

“We had a good run but now we’ve lost again. We’ll try to win again so we can regain a good dynamic.”
