Inter Milan midfielder Matías Vecino was left frustrated after Chievo equalized in stoppage time in their 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Ivan Perisic gave Inter Milan the lead in the 39th minute, but Chievo pulled level in stoppage time to end the game at 1-1.
Inter Milan missed an opportunity to close the gap on second-placed Napoli and leaders Juventus, and Vecino couldn’t hide his disappointment at the final whistle.
“We created chances to score a second after Perisic’s goal, and it’s a shame to lose two points the way that we did,” Vecino told the club’s website.
“We didn’t manage to kill the game off and we should’ve done better on their goal.
“My fitness? I feel quite good. I need to play to get back to my best. Where I prefer to play?
“As a mezzala, I can push forward more. It’s not a problem and I am at the coach’s disposal.”
