Arturo Vidal is proving to be the key member of the squad this season after he entered the Inter clash and made the difference in a big win.
Since the Champions League success, Arturo Vidal saw a lot of minutes of the pitch, mainly operating as a box-to-box midfielder.
The Chilean’s energy, work rate, and movement perfectly compliments the technical superiority of the rest of the squad.
He even scored last night, beautifully striking the ball after Messi’s perfect assist.
The bond between Lionel Messi and Arturo Vidal seems to be working quite well, as the Argentinian often looks for the Chilean in the final third.
Vidal’s deep runs behind the defenders often leave the opposition confused as Suarez drops back to get the centre-backs out of position.
After the 5-1 win, Vidal spoke to Encancha, and quoting Calciomercato, said:
“I play differently from everyone else in midfield, thank God I have the physique to act in the two areas.
“I try to make the most of the assists of Messi and his team-mates.
“I’ve had more luck than last year and I’m trying to take advantage of all the opportunities that are given to me.
“We’ve been running a lot, playing and trying since the 1st minute and thank God we can make a big difference with Messi by showing all the quality he has.
“When he is like that the team feels it and has more confidence in looking for the result. Every day we are surprised, and everyone can see what quality he has.”
