The United States manager is surprised at how well the Chelsea footballer has grown in the last month with his national team.
Christian Pulisic moved from Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga to Chelsea in the English Premier League.
And he has yet to play with the Blues, but he’s developing into a better player.
At least this is what United States national team manager Gregg Berhalter believes.
“I think the most important is that we focus on giving Christian flexibility, putting him in a position where he can affect the game in a number of different ways,” he told reporters.
“We want to play him central, but also him being wide.”
Berhalter added: “When you think about the assists he has had they have come from wide areas.”
“With Christian, we know he’s a top talent, and we want to get him in a position where he can affect the game.”
“We know he can affect the game in an individual level and he has shown that this tournament,” he continued explaining.
“I think the most important thing with Christian when I think about this month it’s been a lot of personal development.”
“The skills haven’t changed, but in terms of his role… it’s been really nice to see. And that goes along with some of the younger guys,” the coach concluded.
A FINAL vs. 🇲🇽.
