Argentina legend Diego Maradona was officially presented as the chairman of Belarusian team Dinamo Brest in a colourful reception that saw him arrive in a monster truck
The controversial Argentine made headlines at the World Cup with his antics in the stands, that even saw him collapsed at one time during the national side’s 2-1 win over Nigeria in the group stages.
Now that the competition is over, Maradona has finally arrived at Belarus to take charge of Dinamo Brest after leaving his role as coach of Al Fujairah in the UAE earlier this year.
Brest, who currently sit in sixth place in the Belarusian Premier League, will no doubt need time to adjust to his rather eccentric ways with Maradona choosing to arrive in an unusual manner.

But the 57-year-old insists that he means business as he embarks on a completely new challenge.
“I am not afraid of the challenge, I am not afraid of the serious projects and these people seem very serious to me,” said Maradona, according to Sky Sports.
“I needed a challenge, an important project to show that I never stopped working.
“I take it with all the affection of the world, respecting the people who gave me this opportunity.
“We are going to have faith again, to grow together in harmony with a great team, taking the kids out of the academies to prove them and make them great.”
Dynamo Brest director of development Viktor Radkov added: “Given the fact that boss Diego will live in Brest, I think people will come from all over the world to watch the games.”
