Former West Ham United player Dimitri Payet scored a goal of the season contender for Marseille against Saint-Etienne.
Last night he scored another. Perhaps one of the goals of the season so far from an impossible angle versus Saint-Etienne.
The Frenchman picked up the ball on the wing and cut inside to the opponent’s penalty area.
He twisted and turned the defender inside out and back to front.
Payet reaches the byline, with the ball on his left foot.
He pauses for a fraction of a second and notices Saint-Etienne keeper Stephane Ruffier’s commitment to a position leaving a slight gap at the post.
He drills the ball from what seemed an impossible angle.
Bam, what a goal!
