Lazio has gone above Inter Milan to second place in Serie A after a 0-1 win away to Parma.
The pressure is now on Inter Milan in the Derby Della Madonnina. Lazio overtook Inter and assumed 2nd place in Serie A. They beat Parma by one goal to nil at the Ennio Tardini Stadium.
It was an entertaining game, that both sides have plenty of opportunities.
Parma had 19 shots, of which four were on target, while Lazio an amazing 23 with five on target.
The match was decided by Felipe Caicedo’s goal in the 41st minute.
Caicedo has a rather impressive record so far this season in Serie A. He has perhaps gone little unknown due to the heroics of strike partner Ciro Immobile.
There was also a major incident that has caused a stir.
A blatant foul in the penalty area by Lazio on a Parma player in the box went unnoticed by the officials and unchecked by VAR.

Simone Inzaghi’s side has emerged as dark horse in the race for the Scudetto. They are on a run of 18 games unbeaten following today’s victory.
The result has Juventus looking over their shoulder. The Bianconeri only has a one-point lead over Inzaghi’s men after they lost to Hellas Verona yesterday.
