Lyon has pulled off a stunning coup, getting a 1-0 win of Ronaldo and his usually free-scoring Juventus side.
Of all the teams that Juventus could have drawn for this round of the Champions League, Lyon on paper was probably the easiest. But it proved a harder task than anyone believed.
Not only did they win, but they stopped the free-scoring Ronaldo in his tracks too.
There was little in the contest before the goal, the first half-hour saw no clear cut chances for either side.
Then in the 31st minute, the hosts broke the deadlock.
Houssem Aouar ran the left-wing, shaking off one challenge and making it into the Juventus box. There he played in a dangerous ball to the unmarked Tousart who buried the ball in the net from close range.
All this took place, while defender Matthijs De Ligt was off the field being treated for a head injury.
He was clattered by his own player in an earlier corner and left battered, bloodied and bruised.
The Bianconeri poured forward, in desperation in the second half. In search of an equalizer.
Juventus thought they had scored to level things up plus have an all-important away goal late on.
It was Paulo Dybala had the ball in the back of the net, but he was ruled offside.
Now Lyon must travel to the Allianz stadium in Turin and at least hold on to secure passage to the quarter-finals for the first time in ten years.
