On this day in 2019, Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool arrived back home to parade their Champions League trophy.
The Liverpool team and Jurgen Klopp returned to Merseyside on this very day a year ago to heroes welcome.
It would also signify the start of a party with their fans that would literally paint the city red.
Jurgen Klopp was his effervescent and cheeky self.
It was a celebration of the monumental achievement that saw them crowd European Champions for the sixth time in the club’s history.
The win against Tottenham which took place the night before at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid saw Liverpool go into third on the all-time list of European Champions. Behind AC Milan with seven and Real Madrid with 13.
This year there will be no party for the Champions League. But there seems very little if anything that can stop another Liverpool party this year.
Only this time it will be for the Premier League title. Something that they have not won in 30 years.
