Most have assumed that it is simply the fact his displeasure at his manager’s decision to replace him.
But Patrick Vieira has a different take on the matter. In an interview reported by Football Italia, Vieira thinks the player is unhappy with himself.
“It’s important to understand why he is unhappy.”
“From the outside, it seems like he is going through a difficult period.”
“When a player like him stops scoring, there will be some frustration.”
Perhaps what has been the most difficult thing for Ronaldo to stomach, is that Sarri’s decisions have proved correct.
Both the players that came on for CR7 went on to score the winners, Douglas Costa and Paulo Dybala did what Ronaldo couldn’t.
“This shows how difficult it is to be a coach.”
Ronaldo has been highly influential at Juve and had a trophy-laden opening season in Italy.
However, something is amiss with the superstar. This season he has shown signs he is struggling to have the impact on the game he has become so famous for.
