With 17 goals and 2 assists, Cristiano Ronaldo has had his involvement in almost 50 percent of Juventus’ goals in Serie A so far. Lionel Messi, on the other hand, accounts for a massive 40 percent of Barcelona’s goals. The Argentine also leads the La Liga goalscoring charts with 14 goals to his name.
And Andre Villas-Boas has suggested that Marseille star man Dimitri Payet carries a similar burden. However, the former Chelsea coach added that he does not see it as a negative aspect for the Marseille team considering Payet’s quality.
“Barcelona are Messi dependent, Juventus are Ronaldo dependent. If we’re Payet dependent, we’re Payet dependent,” he said as per Goal.
