At first, the Brazilian wonderkid suffered to play on the position chosen by his coach Zinedine Zidane, but he thinks he’s getting the hang of it.
Brazilian wonderkid Vinicius Junior has admitted he struggled when Zinedine Zidane asked him to play on the right wing.
But he says he’s at Real Madrid to learn and he hopes he can play there well in the future.
“At every club, the right-footed players like to play on the left, as Hazard does,” Vinicius was quoted by Marca.
“It’s the same here. Each player has their own characteristics and it’s the coach that decides.”
The Brazilian added: “It’s always really difficult, to begin with, but I’m adapting well in my new position.”
“I’m training and asking Zidane [about it], who is putting me there.”
“Left or right, having the chance to play on both wings helps me at Real Madrid and in the [Brazilian] national team,” he said.
“It’s all part of the journey.”
“I got injured at the best moment of my career and I couldn’t come [to the Copa America], but I knew that God had a plan for me, and my family assured me that the right moment would come,” he commented.
“Now I’m here and I’m very happy.”
