Victor Sanchez del Amo has drawn comparisons between Cristiano Ronaldo and Vinicius Junior.
Vinicius Junior made his debut for Real Madrid against Atletico Madrid back in 2018 and has not looked back since then.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who was in the stands to watch El Clasico, was visibly impressed when the Brazilian broke the deadlock to give Real Madrid the lead against Barcelona earlier.
At just 19 years of age, Vinicius has become one of the regular starters under Zinedine Zidane. So far, he has played 18 La Liga games while scoring twice in the process.
Former Real Madrid midfielder Victor Sanchez del Amo feels starlet Vinicius Junior’s playing style is similar to that of the Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Vinicius’ statistics in his first two seasons show that he’s scored eight goals. Cristiano Ronaldo scored 11 in his first two seasons,” he said, as Marca reports.
“This gives us an idea of the path he has in front of him because Vinicius is at a very similar level to Cristiano at his age with a similar style of play. A winger and with the ability to dribble that stands out before his goalscoring.
“The key is [in the mind] and ambition that he has to overcome obstacles that will get in his way. He [Ronaldo] overcame adversities before becoming one of the best in history.”
