With Real Madrid set to face an in-form Lionel Messi, Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior refuted every form fear factor on the part of his side.
Messi was in excellent form against Sevilla where he bagged a hat-trick to help Barcelona to a 4-2 win ahead of Wednesday’s Copa del Rey semi-final second leg.
However, Vinicius fancies Real Madrid’s chances of progressing to the next round when the Blaugrana come to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
“We have a lot of desire and I want to play in the Clasico, all players love to play in these games and I like it a lot,” he told Marca.
“Our fans need to help us but if we play like we did in the Camp Nou then we can win the game.
“We are ready for everything and Messi is an incredible player for them who does things that nobody else does.
The Brazilian youngster hinted the fans are anticipating for the tie and suggested Los Blancos are unfazed by Messi’s threat.
“Everyone is really looking forward to the game and we aren’t afraid of Messi despite him being a great player because we have the best in the world.
“In terms of his own form, the youngster also is not dwelling over his recent struggles to find the back of the net.
“There is always something missing, as well as a goal, but I do have a few and I am doing well,” he continued.
“For me, the most important thing is that the team is winning.”
