Vinicius Junior has revealed that Karim Benzema is the player who has helped him the most to feel at home at Real Madrid.
Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior won over the hearts of both the Real Madrid fans and Zinedine Zidane after opening the scoring in El Clasico earlier this month.
The Brazilian’s goal played a crucial role back then in helping his side over throw Barcelona from the top of the table.
Despite being only a teenager, Vinicius has played 19 times in La Liga this season and is slowly becoming one of Real Madrid’s regular starters.
In an interview with Four Four Two, he revealed that Karim Benzema took him under his wing since he first arrived at the club.
“Karim Benzema, without a shadow of a doubt,” Vinicius said when asked to name the most influential teammate for his career so far.
“He has helped me since day one, advising me on how to make the best decisions, and whenever we play together he tells me to remain calm and focused.
“He’s experienced – he’s been at Real Madrid for more than a decade now. So, it’s a privilege to learn from him.”
