During a visit to Japan for sponsoring commitments and vacation, Vinicius Junior spoke about his first season as a Real Madrid player.

After a full season as a Real Madrid player for the first time in his career, there are many takeaways that Vinicius Junior can get from this experience.

The Brazilian teenager actually had a rushed first year in European football, his young age prevented him from delivering better performances.

However, this wasn’t a bad year for him by any stretch of the imagination.

It was actually a great first season for him, but that may not be enough for Vinicius to actually convince Zinedine Zidane that he needs to stay at the club.

The French manager considers that this young Brazilian buck is still very far away from earning a spot in the squad’s starting XI, but Vinicius doesn’t mind having to go through a process.

In fact, the player just confirmed that he is very happy with the way things went during his first season and he can’t wait for what the new year brings him.

He still doesn’t know if he will continue at Real Madrid or somewhere else, he is just grateful to have an opportunity to do what he does.

The player spoke to the media during his visit to Japan, he discussed many topics of his first season at Real Madrid.

Vinicius first talked about his visit to Japan and how surprised he feels that people recognize Real Madrid in this corner of the world.

“I loved Tokio. It’s my first time in this city and I hope I can return next years for the Olympic Games,” said Vinicius via Marca.

“This is an objective that I have in my mind. We have to rest now, but I already want the season to start all over again.”

“Even here in Japan, I’ve noticed the love of all the Madridistas. I am very happy that the fans liked the work I’ve done, this really motivates me.”

“It was a fantastic year for me. I started playing for Castilla, but I already knew that could happen and that it would be that way.”

“I then went up to the first squad, I started playing and I learned so much.”

“It was a shame that we didn’t do well in any of the three competitions, but the squad was coming from winning three consecutive Champions League.”

“Not winning anything this year was something that could happen. We are all expecting things to get better next season and we believe the club will go back to its winning ways again.”

“I am certain that we will win many more trophies next season,” he concluded.

Ronaldo Nazario wants him for Valladolid.

Due to their history together as friends and compatriots, Vinicius Junior and Ronaldo Nazario have a very special bond together.

The current Real Valladolid president can be considered Vinicius Junior’s godfather, he was the one who recommended him to Real Madrid in the first place.

Reports from Diario AS confirm that the Brazilian legend is trying everything he can to bring the youngster to Real Valladolid on a loan.

There have been conversations between Ronaldo Nazario and Zinedine Zidane about this possibility, this could be a great way to prevent the young player’s career to stop dead on its tracks to success.

The experience of playing for a less important club could be very beneficial for him, it would also benefit both clubs.

Ronaldo Nazario just secured Valladolid’s time in Primera Division and he will need new players who can help him take the next step in Spanish football.

Vinicius Junior is actually one of the most attractive choices that the Pucela squad has on offer. However, Florentino Perez might not be as keen as Zidane to let his player leave.
