Kyle Walker has admitted that Manchester City are in a difficult position after loss against Man Utd.

Liverpool defeated Bournemouth 3-0 earlier to strengthen their position at the top of the league table. Meanwhile, Man City suffered another slip-up in the derby.

As it stands, the champions are 14 points behind Liverpool in the third place. Kyle Walker believes that City’s loss against United has made things worse for the team’s title hopes.

Kyle Walker refrained himself from pointing out his team’s flaws but suggested that it will be difficult to match Liverpool if they don’t step up their game.

“Us as defenders need to hold our hands up,” he said as per Express.

“We need to keep clean sheets and strikers maybe need to put more away.

“They [Manchester United] had a game plan and it worked. They have quick players in quick areas and they are going to hurt you on the counter. Credit where credit is due, they stepped up today. Fair play.

“Can’t fault the manager. He has won numerous trophies. I can’t put my finger on it,” Walker added.

“It is going to be difficult, Liverpool are on fire. They are getting wins and we are not. It is a big gap but we will fight until the end.”
