Booby Duncan is in Florence to complete his transfer from Liverpool to Fiorentina.

As we brought earlier at Ronaldo.com, Liverpool had already rejected an approach from Fiorentina for Duncan.

But further to these events, Duncan’s agent has gone public with some rather unsavory comments about the Merseysiders.

Saif Rubie said through social:

“Liverpool are holding him against his will and damaging his mental health and bullying the player by not allowing him to leave.”

The agent has since deleted his account.

It was said that further to these accusations, Duncan’s only way back was to publicly apologise to the club. According to Talksport, he used social media to state he “just wants to play football.”

It is now understood, according to Sky Sports, that Liverpool has now accepted an offer of two million pounds from Fiorentina. The deal also includes a clause entitling Liverpool to 20% of any sell-on fee.

Duncan was a revelation in Liverpool’s academy last season, scoring 32 goals in all competitions.

This season, especially in the preseason, has seenĀ Jurgen Klopp hand senior debuts to academy products. But Duncan does not feel too many opportunities will come his way this season.

Further to the very public falling out, Liverpool is apparently ready to cut all ties with the player.

The clubs decision to insert a sell-on clause rather than a buy-back clause is a blatant signal of the Reds displeasure with the player and his entourage.

Bobby Duncan appears to have played his last game in a Liverpool jersey. The player is a life long Liverpool fan who said upon his arrival from Manchester City as a youth player, it was his dream to play for the Reds.

That dream is apparently over as Liverpool look set to wash their hands of a player they now deem inpatient and borderline disrespectful.
