Watford forward Andre Gray has issued an apology after he broke lock-down rules along with teammates Nathaniel Chalobah and Domingos Quina.

Watford star Andre Gray is sorry to have hosted a lockdown party at his apartment with two of his teammates Chalobah and Quina.

The 29-year-old posted a video on his Instagram account that showed himself and the two aforementioned players having a party and playing a mini-football tournament in his apartment.

Gray lives with his fiance Leigh Anne-Pinnock and the total of all people in attendance as seen on the video exceeded the maximum of more than six in a single gathering as directed by the government.

The forward was quick to delete the video but it was too late as it had already circulated all over social media.

Following intense criticism from all over, Gray has come out to issue an apology, acknowledging his responsibilities and hoping to make it all right.

He took to his Instagram account on Monday afternoon: “I wanted to wait to make public apology as my first apology needed to be to my team mates and staff first for not being able to be involved in yesterdays game and the risk i may have caused!”

“I just want to reiterate that it was not a late night party like what is being portrayed and only a gathering of friends which turned into a sort of football tournament on my birthday!”

“I understand my responsibilities and will do what it takes to make it right, apologies again! Andre gray”

Quina also penned down his apology for attending the party as well.

Gray, Chalobah and Quina were all dropped for their side’s defeat to Southampton on Sunday. However, they are now expected to return for their tie against Chelsea at the weekend. They are also expected to be fined by the club for breaking the rules.
