Watford star Ismalia Sarr has named Cristiano Ronaldo as the best player in the world, expressing his desire to see the Juventus talisman live on the pitch.
Sarr had no second thoughts when it came to picking his best player in the world, with Cristiano Ronaldo as the only possible option, according to the winger.
The 22-year-old praised the phenomenal Portuguese, hailing his hard work while also showing much admiration for his style of play.
Sarr has settled in well at Watford, following his club-record move from Rennes last summer. The Senegal international has contributed five goals and three assists in 19 appearances so far this season.
Two of those goals included a famous brace against Liverpool, which ended the Red’s 44 games unbeaten Premier League run in disappointing fashion.
Sarr chose Cristiano Ronaldo as his best player, while picking compatriot Sadio Mane and Neymar as the best players he has played against.
“Cristiano Ronaldo. I haven’t seen him play live, but I really want to. He’s the best in the world. He plays well, he scores goals that are like works of art,” the 22-year-old told the club website.
“I’ve played against Mane and he is strong. But I have played against Neymar and I’d choose him because he is so strong in every aspect of the game, except he doesn’t defend.”
Sarr also pointed out Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly, PSG’s Idrissa Gueye and Mane who are his international teammates as the best players he has ever played with.
“There are many. Can I name a few? So there is Sadio [Mane], Idrissa Gueye and [Kalidou] Koulibaly. These players have everything. I chose them because there you have the best defender, the best midfielder and the best forward I’ve played with,” he said.
