Borussia Dortmund got a very important 3-2 win over Fortuna Dusseldorf today in Saturday’s German Bundesliga fixture.

While Bayern Munich could only get one point from their visit to RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund was able to beat Fortuna Dusseldorf 3-2 in today’s German Bundesliga fixture.

With this Dortmund stays in the second place of the table with 73 points, two behind leaders Bayern.

To be able to be crowned champions, the Black and Yellow need to win next win against Borussia Monchengladbach, while Bayern hosts Eintracht Frankfurt.

“We have always believed! We’ll have to give our all next week to win,” said Christian Pulisic to the club’s official website.

“Of course, it depends on what Bayern do. We can only focus on ourselves, and then we’ll see. The manager keeps telling us that it’s possible. We try to win every match.”

Coach Lucien Favre added: “It wasn’t an easy game today. We knew that Dusseldorf can be very dangerous.”

“After winning possession, Dusseldorf always play the ball forwards quickly. We played with patience, which wasn’t always attractive, but that’s how we found the gaps.”

Liverpool target Timo Werner set for RB Leipzig exit

Outgoing RB Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick revealed Timo Werner has "implied" that he will not sign a new contract amid reported interest from Liverpool.

“Ultimately it was difficult, but we won, which is the most important thing,” he added.

“We’ve only got a chance if we win our game away at Gladbach and if Frankfurt wins in Munich.”

“It’s all to play for. Bayern have a home match against Frankfurt, but Eintracht need the points for a top-four finish,” Sebastian Kehl said.

“We have an away game in Gladbach, which certainly won’t be easy. It’ll be a fascinating matchday.”
