Eden Hazard arrived at Real Madrid this summer in a blockbuster €100 million move. The Belgian forward is still finding his ground in Madrid.

The pressure at Madrid is never-ending. This especially applies to big-name signings looking to make an instant impact, such as Eden Hazard.

The Belgian arrived as the hero Bernabeu has been waiting for. Even though the team is doing a good job at the top of La Liga, the fans still wait for Hazard’s top performances.

One of the biggest issues was the fitness problem for former Chelsea talisman.

Talking to beIN, Wenger expressed his opinion on Hazard, saying:

“He will be the answer but not in replacing Ronaldo that is for sure.

“He will not score 50 goals a year because that’s now how they play football.

“They need another goal scorer in Real Madrid because Benzema is now 32 and if they had someone younger around him to score the goals, maybe they could do very well.

“Eden Hazard is an exceptional player to create chances to sometimes finish when he needs to do in big games.”

Wenger also touched upon the fitness topic, agreeing it’s keeping the Belgian from his peak performances:

“He’s not scared of anybody – I don’t think Real have yet to see the real Hazard, he’s not as sharp physically as he can be.

“That’s why I believe they will discover the real Hazard.”

Hazard scored just one league goal in seven matches for Los Blancos. And with some worrisome performances in the Champions League, the fans are running out of patience.

Still, Eden will have the perfect opportunity to show his worth; Real Madrid travels to Camp Nou to face Barcelona in the season’s first El Clasico.

With the league challenge very active, it could be a huge step, both for Madrid and Hazard.
