Arsene Wenger has revealed Arsenal Legend Thierry Henry wants to take charge at Ligue 1 club, Ginrondins Bordeaux.

Bordeaux may soon be on the lookout for a new manager after suspending Gus Poyet for a sensational outburst over the sale of Gaetan Laborde to Montpellier.

And with Henry yet to find a club for his first step into management, his former Arsenal boss believes it would suit his capabilities.

“Yes, he wants to do it, he is intelligent and he has the qualities,’ Wenger told Corse-Matin.

“The existential question that we always ask ourselves is whether we are ready to sacrifice our life for the coaching profession.

“Being passionate is selfish work. When you are passionate, you steal your time from those whom you love and to whom you could have given much more.’

The Belgium assistant left his role as a pundit at Sky Sports this summer to concentrate on his management career.
