Arsenal’s legendary manager Arsene Wenger insists he will never return to the club he left back in 2018.
Arsene Wenger walked away from Arsenal Football Club as a legend. Not only did he win countless trophies, but also the only side to go a Premier League season undefeated.
These are moments that Wenger admits hold a special place in his heart, along with the club itself.
However, he is adamant that when he said he was leaving, it was forever, and he has no intention of going back in any capacity at all.
He told beIN SPORTS:
“I managed the club for 1,235 games, I’ve had good and bad times there.”
“But we always tried to defend the club’s values. And I think we managed to do it.”
“Would I return to the Emirates Stadium?”
“I always said to myself that I would be leaving Arsenal completely. That’s the decision I made.”
There is no doubt that the French tactician ranks up there with the greats, but just how close to the top is he?
