The German club will play against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League, and they know the Citizens are favorites.

On Wednesday, German Bundesliga club Schalke is set to play against English Premier League side Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.

The game will be played at Veltins-Arena, but still, the Germans are considered the underdogs in the game.

Schalke is currently in the 14th position of the Bundesliga table, with only 23 points after six wins, five draws and eleven defeats.

Meanwhile, Manchester City is on the first position of the Premier League with 65 points after 21 wins, two draws, and four losses.

“We are facing one of the best teams in the whole of Europe”, said Schalke’s Matija Nastasic to the club’s web portal.

“City basically don’t have any weaknesses. They score lots of goals, are technically amazing, press effectively and have great players in every position.”

“We won’t let ourselves be beaten for kick-off. Obviously, it’s not going to be easy and we know we will go into the game as the underdogs,” he explained.

“Despite that, we still have a chance. With our fans behind us, we will give everything we’ve got.”
