Leipzig shows serious league-winning intention this season as Nagelsmann arrived by bringing in fresh ideas and concepts.

Bundesliga looks as competitive as ever with multiple teams fighting for the throne. After a long time, Bayern’s position at the top doesn’t seem so safe.

Leipzig hosted Mainz in an attempt to close the gap to the league-leading Monchengladbach.

And close the gap they did – Leipzig won 8-0 behind their striker’s incredible performance.

Timo Werner became the only player ever to record a hattrick of both goals and assists in one match of the Bundesliga.

The most wanted striker next summer just made the demand even bigger with this performance.

Werner participated in all three opening goals, both as an assister and as a scorer.

This demolition should send a strong message to Bayern, given that Leipzig already showed how fearless they are when facing the league’s most dominant force.

RB Leipzig is now third in the league, just a point behind Borussia Dortmund who stands as the second.

Borussia Monchengladbach doesn’t show any signs of stopping, as the latest victim was Bayer Leverkusen whom they beat 2-1.

There have been a lot of talks about Werner joining Bayern next summer, but performances like this may convince him to stay in Leipzig.
