Hull City are worried the deal involving Jarrod Bowen and a move to West Ham could ‘delay’ ahead of the transfer deadline, according to reports.
We reported earlier today that Bowen was ‘travelling to London for a medical’ with a €26 million deal agreed between West Ham and Hull.
However, it seems the deal could be under threat following a failure to agree personal terms with the player. Hull City are reported to have accepted the deal and it now remains an agreement between Bowen and West Ham.
Crystal Palace were heavy favourites to land the striker but got beaten to the signing by the Hammers.
Bowen has scored 17 goals and provided seven assists this season in all competitions for the Tigers and there has been a lot of interest in his services.
However, The Athletic‘s West Ham reporter Roshane Thomas claims that despite a deal to the London Stadium ‘still likely,’ he warns that ‘the two parties are a fair bit apart on wages’.
Thomas adds: “Bowen had been asking for around £60K a week. Hull are concerned the deal might stall.”
