Cristiano Ronaldo reveals where he thought life would take him at 35, let’s just say it’s not Turin and playing for Juventus.
Cristiano Ronaldo has just turned 35. He has played for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.
He has won 31 trophies between club and country. Then he has five world footballer of the year awards to go with it too.
However, as a young boy in the Portuguese region known as Madeira, he did not envisage such a life.
In an interview reported by A Bola, the superstar reveals a very different idea of what the future might have held for Cristiano Ronaldo.
“When I was little I thought that at 35 I would be fishing in Madeira.”
“But it was not cane, which costs a lot, it was a thread on the finger.”
“It never crossed my mind to play where I played and win what I won.”
There is but one thing left to say to the GOAT.
“Happy Birthday and well-done sir, well-done!”
