France Football already released their nominees for this year’s Ballon d’Or. The Premier League features half of its players on the 30-man shortlist, while the majority of the names coming from Manchester City and Liverpool. Other notable names in the list are Eden Hazard, Robert Lewandowski, Karim Benzema, and Kylian Mbappe.

The Argentine participated in 49 goals in La Liga last season to help Barcelona land their 26th league title. To further add to his tally, Messi scored 12 more in the Champions League only to see Liverpool get the better of his team.

Some reports even suggest that the Barcelona star has already written on his name on the 2019 Ballon d’Or. Regardless, Leo Messi remains the frontrunner to win the 2019 Ballon d”or.

When and where is the 2019 Ballon d’Or ceremony?

This year’s ceremony will be held on the 2nd of December in Theatre du Chatelet in Paris. The red carpet will start honoring the guests from 5:00 pm CET. While the ceremony will start three and a half hours later from 8:30 pm CET.
