Liverpool have an exciting group of players coming through their youth ranks and Georginio Wijnaldum has all the time to help them progress.

For a long time, Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher were the solitary first-team regulars in Liverpool’s first team. Trent Alexander-Arnold now has that mantle. But the status quo will soon change.

A host of players from the youth team are knocking for first-team opportunities. They should get more chances under Jurgen Klopp and help them add to their Premier League title.

Neco Williams, Sepp van den Berg and Harvey Elliott got their first-team bows this year. Ki-Jana Hoever became their fourth-youngest goalscorer while Curtis Jones became their youngest captain.

The future is bright and Georgio WIjnaldum will help them make the grade.

Wijnaldum praised the youth team members for their humility and yearning for learning. Whilst promising to help them grow in any way possible.

The Dutch midfielder stated that the youngsters have a lot of quality, and believe they will become first-team regulars soon.

“It’s really good. First of all, they are really humble, they are really greedy to learn from the older players in the team and that gives you a boost to help them even more because they really want to learn from the players in the first team, and besides that they have a lot of quality,” Wijnaldum told Liverpool’s official website.

“We just be there for them, help them to prepare as good as possible so that when their time is there, they can do the job that we do now.”

“It’s good to work with them and besides that, they also make the squad stronger because when they train they give 100 percent and they want to show how good they are. That makes us as first-team players better”
