Crystal Palace legend John Salako suggested Wilfried Zaha could make a surprise summer move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Zaha is ready for a second attempt in making it at a big club following another impressive campaign at Palace.
The Ivory Coast international previously endured a terrible stint at Manchester United between 2013 to 2015. In fact, he ended up only making four appearances at Old Trafford after being shipped off on three separate loan spells.
Since rejoining Palace permanently, however, Zaha has rediscovered his best form and is now among the Premier League’s finest wingers.
At 26, Zaha is aware he’s approaching his peak days and is keen for another crack at a top club that ideally offers him Champions League football.
So far, north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham have both expressed an interest in signing the former United outcast.
More surprisingly, though, is the fact that a move to either Ligue 1 champions PSG or Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund could also be on the table for Zaha.
“I think for Wilf, maybe an Arsenal, maybe possibly Tottenham come in with big money, he’d move,” Salako told Love Sport Radio.
“Maybe a Paris Saint-German, or Dortmund, maybe one of the big boys in Germany.
“That’s a question for Wilf, if he wants to go and play Champions League football, he wants to play in a big club, he wants to maybe go and experience living in a big European city, experiencing that. You know he speaks French.
“He’s matured now, he’s grown up, his game is absolutely bang where he wants it to be. I think he’s open and receptive to grow.
“Now is the time to go and challenge himself.”
Zaha managed 10 goals and assists in 34 Premier League appearances last season to help Palace finish 12th in the table.
The winger is under contract at Selhurst Park until June 2023 and has a market value of €45m.
