Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo refused to rule out becoming the next boss of Arsenal.
In a press conference before his side’s Europa League clash with Sporting Braga, he was asked about replacing Unai Emery at Arsenal.
The Portuguese was never going to come out and say I am the job or I’m ready when they are.
However, his failure to say “no I’m not interested” has pushed Santo to the top of the bookie’s list as a potential candidate to take over.
Following his unwillingness to rule himself out, he is now the favorite to replace Emery.
According to the Metro, he simply didn’t want to comment out of respect for Emery.
“I think you know me well enough and you know that I’m not going to answer that.”
“I will never mention an issue that’s not a reality.”
” Mainly because the job has a manager in it.”
“It would be disrespectful.”
What Santo has done at Wolves has been nothing short of miraculous, it is only a matter of time until a big club comes calling.
