Eden Hazard insists Cristiano Ronaldo’s 2018 Champions League Quarter Final goal against Juventus is one of the best goals he has ever seen.
A task to select one goal as Cristiano Ronaldo’s best goal among his 450 for Real Madrid would be as much nonsensical as it would be mind-numbing.
Ronaldo’s goal collection is as diverse as it gets – headers, free-kicks, long-range shots, tap-ins, goals after a dazzling run to leave defenders astounded, goals from seemingly impossible angles, match-deciding goals, – you name it.
There is, however, one goal of his that stands above all, given both its beauty and the gravity of the occasion it was scored in. The goal that left even the opponent fans awe-struck – the out of this world bicycle kick against Juventus in the 2018 Champions League Quarter Final first leg.
Eden Hazard was recently asked about the best Champions League goal he has ever seen, and the aforementioned goal was the first one to pop in his mind.
“Gareth Bale, also, against Liverpool in the final. Wow! All of them are really good.
Hazard was then asked about a favorite Champions League goal of his own. He replied: “That’s easy because I didn’t score a lot, but I think my first goal [Schalke 0-3 Chelsea, 2013]. The first one is always special, you know.”
