Just a few days after testing positive for coronavirus, Xavi Hernandez has confirmed that he is fully recovered and back to speed.

Xavi initially revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19 on July 25.

The Barcelona legend was advised to self-isolate as per protocol so he could be observed for necessary treatment.

Xavi was supposed to lead Al-Saad to a match-up against Al Khor last Saturday but was unable to do so because of his situation.

In his absence, his team proved equal to the task and managed to scrape a 2-1 victory on the occasion.

Just five days after, Xavi has now confirmed he has fully recovered from the virus.

“Many thanks for all your messages and shows of support that I’ve received over the last few days,” he wrote on Instagram.

“I want to share with you that I’ve recovered and back home with my family and back with the Al Sadd team.”

Xavi now has the all-clear to return to the pitch when Al-Saad takes on Al Ahli on Monday.
