Mina arrived at Goodison Park from Barcelona after an excellent World Cup where the defender played a big part in Colombia’s quarter-final run.
After joining Everton, Mina did show his talent on a couple of occasions, but injuries heavily derailed his time with The Toffees.
Talking to Daily Mail, Mina commented on his time in England.
“Everyone has put up with me all this time!” Mina said, as quoted by Marca.
“I will give everything I have for these people. I will show my gratitude every time I go on that pitch.
“I will leave it all out there for them. I try not to be affected by stuff, even when I am going through difficult times.
Mina opened up about his mental situation, as it’s hard to struggle with so many injuries:
“Things were very difficult last year. It is easy to be happy when you are in a good moment.
“It is when the bad times come that it is a little harder. When you have that frustration and sadness and things are getting you down, it is important to keep that good spirit.
“I am so grateful for the role our physio Danny Donachie played.”
Talking about the current season, where he’s regular in the starting eleven, Mina expressed his satisfaction:
“Now I feel good about myself. I feel strong, confident.”It is almost like God is making up for those two bad years.”
Talking about Everton, the Colombian admitted the results aren’t good, but that he loves the atmosphere around the club.
“I look at myself, I see the errors that I make and I want to get better and eradicate them from my game,” he continued.
“In a moment like this, it is important to present a united front. We speak together all the time. We must improve.
“It’s like a big family here. I am so happy I made the choice to come. I can’t explain how happy I am that my teammates have put up with me as I have tried to settle.”
