The future of Barcelona defender Yerry Mina has been handed another twist after Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas claimed that he could still end up at the French club
Despite having only arrived in January this year, Mina appears set to call time on his short spell at Barcelona in favour of a move to somewhere that can guarantee regular first-team football after making just five La Liga appearances last season.
Latest reports have indicated that Everton have managed to agree on a deal with Barcelona for Mina.
But Aulus insists that Lyon are still in contention to sign the Colombia international before the end of the transfer window.
On Twitter, Aulas wrote: “Farewell Lyon, Mina is going to Everton for €32 million. I don’t think that information is accurate.
“Yerry is still very interested in l’OL. We also want him to come to Lyon so he can play the Champions League.”
Interest in Mina has risen since his impressive World Cup campaign that saw him grab three goals for Colombia in his three games.
Manchester United have also been linked with the 23-year-old.
